While threading through hold onto the other end of the collar so it remains outside the collar cover. As you pull it through, the cover will naturally gather into its scruchie shape. Adjust the fabric so the scallops sit evenly around the collar. Clip the collar onto your cat and adjust it so it's snug but comfortable. You should be able to fit one or two fingers between the collar and your cat's neck. It should rotate freely but not be loose enough to slip off.If you need to adjust the size later, simply slide the cover back to expose the collars adjustable section.

For your cat's safety we recommend using a breakaway collar. However, the choice to use a standard non-breakaway collar is at the customer's discretion. No pet accessory can guarantee safety in every situation, and collars should be checked regularly for fit and condition. Our distinctive scalloped design helps the collar remain visible even on many long-haired cats. Bright colours and bold patterns are designed to stand out against your cat's coat, although visibility may vary depending on your cat's fur length and thickness. The height of our collar from base to top of scallop is 7.5cm so measuring is essential if unsure.

Our collar covers are designed to fit most standard breakaway cat collars (adjustable size 19-32cm). Each collar cover comes with a removable breakaway cat collar already inserted. This breakaway collar is removable and can be replaced with a collar of your choice. We do always recommend a breakaway safety buckle for your cat's safety.
